Welcome to our Blog!

I finally got around to starting a blog to share with all you good people the fun and foibles we're having living up in Idaho!
As anyone who knows us knows already, in July 2007 we moved up to north Idaho to be near the town of Post Falls, a small town home to the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of the SSPX with it's excellent schools and good community. In November of that year we aquired a great piece of property close to town with 20.32 acres of forest and a cool little 1200 sf, 3br/1ba house. It's well built and insulated, a bit on the smallish side, but the kiddos are still smallish and thanks to the magical sweet organizational ninja by Alicia, we fit.
So the property, heretofore to be referred to by it's proper name "Rat Mountain" or "RT" when I'm on a roll, is a mostly forested, south facing hillside, about 5 miles west of Rathdrum, Idaho. There's a 2/3 mile driveway that looks to the outside world and the uninitiated, like a treacherous goat trail punching through the thicket, but to those brave or foolhardy enough to just take my advice and "just punch it and don't let up" the reward (after about 150 yards of bashing or sliding around up the steep beginning) is a beautiful winding road through towering ponderosa pines, douglas furs, and cedar trees leading straight up to the house. I love this drive.

Anyway, we'll post lots of pictures and write about stuff we're into on here and somewhat fill in the gaps of the last 4 years. more later.
